“Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
Our hope goes beyond death and this world as we know it.
Despite the unrelenting tricks and tactics of his enemies, Jesus remained true to his heavenly father in all his words and deeds. Despite unimaginable suffering – including execution on a roman cross – Jesus, because of his great love for both his father and humankind. remained true to both God and to us.
God revealed his love and his power by resurrecting his Son Jesus from death and giving him a majestic, powerful and immortal spiritual body.
God has promised that he will raise everyone from the dead at the end of time. Jesus will judge each and every person justly and compassionately. All those who have trusted in Christ Jesus and have subjected themselves to his reign will be judged worthy of eternal life and be transformed into a spiritual body just as Jesus was at his resurrection.
This is our hope: to be transformed into the image of Christ and equipped for eternal life in fellowship with our Lord and God.
